Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traffic engineering, with significant experience working on projects related to Abu Dhabi Mobility (formerly known as ITC).
This role involves leading traffic engineering projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards, and contributing to the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
§ Lead traffic engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet technical, budgetary, and scheduling requirements.
§ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, engineers, and consultants to achieve project objectives with minimal supervision.
§ Conduct comprehensive traffic studies, including traffic impact assessments, traffic signal design, and capacity analysis.
§ Develop and implement traffic management plans and strategies to improve traffic flow and safety.
§ Ensure all designs and analyses comply with Abu Dhabi Mobility guidelines and local regulations.
§ Liaise with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, address concerns, and provide updates on project progress.
§ Prepare and present reports, proposals, and technical documents to stakeholders.
§ Review and validate traffic engineering designs and analyses to ensure accuracy and quality.
§ Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.
§ Mentor and support junior engineers and team members, providing guidance and fostering their professional development.
§ Lead technical workshops and training sessions as needed.
Qualifications:
§ Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
§ Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in traffic engineering with a strong focus on Abu Dhabi Mobility (ITC) projects.
§ Technical Skills: Proficiency in traffic simulation software (e.g., SYNCHRO, VISSIM), traffic modeling, and traffic signal design.
§ Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Abu Dhabi Mobility guidelines, traffic management practices, and local regulations.
§ Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
§ Leadership: Proven leadership abilities with experience managing projects and leading teams.
