Project Overview:

 

Crown Consult was appointed by Aldar Group to provide transportation planning and design services for the Louvre Abu Dhabi museum development. The project scope included:

  • Transportation studies
  • Stakeholder coordination and statutory approvals

Challenges and Solutions:

The Louvre Abu Dhabi project presented a unique set of challenges due to its unconventional traffic and parking requirements. The museum was expected to attract 3,000 daily visitors, with a significant portion relying on public transportation. To address these challenges, Crown Consult implemented the following solutions:

  • Designed a parking strategy that utilized nearby municipal parking facilities and encouraged the use of public transport.
  • Developed a road network that efficiently accommodated pedestrian and vehicular traffic flow.
