Project Overview:

 

Crown Consult was commissioned by M/s Jurong International and the Department of Transport (DoT) to undertake a comprehensive transportation impact study and design support for four bus depot locations in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

The project encompassed:

  • Transportation Planning.
  • Bus Depot Circulation Study and Design Support.
  • Stakeholder Coordination and Statutory Approvals.

Project Scope:

 

The project covered four bus depot sites:

  • Abu Dhabi Bus Depot:Located on Plot P30 in Khalifa A City, with a site area of 9.4466 hectares.
  • Al Ain Bus Depot:Located on Plots 150, 152, and 154 in the Al-Ruwaidat area of the Industrial City, with a total site area of 7.6646 hectares.
  • Al-Ruwais Bus Depot:Located on Plot P1017 in the Al-Ruwais area of Algharbia, Western Region of Abu Dhabi, with a site area of 8.3855 hectares.
  • Al Mafraq Bus Depot: Located on Plot P3 in the Al Mafraq Industrial Area, Abu Dhabi, with a site area of 9.86 hectares

Highlights:

  • Successfully conducted transportation impact studies for all four bus depot locations.
  • Developed efficient and safe circulation patterns for each bus depot, ensuring smooth movement of buses, passengers, and staff.
  • Obtained DoT approval for all four projects.
